DRINKING ALCOHOL TIPS AND TRICKS

When on the plan, many people think that they can’t drink or have a social life and cut out the things they love, which leads them to fall off the bandwagon, for example, alcohol, Takeaway, chocolate. But it’s still possible to enjoy all these things and even reach your goals!

When you know that you will be drinking, so for example, you knew that you have a party this weekend to enjoy yourself and stay on plan, take 100-200 calories off your daily calorie intake Monday- Friday. You have an extra 1,000 calories at the weekend. You’re saving calories for the weekend and the alcohol that you will be drinking. So this like saving money in the bank to spend on your night out.

I also encourage people to go for low-calorie drinks; for example, if you’re drinking gin, vodka always goes for the zero-calorie mixer. Try to avoid high-calorie drinks as they can add up very quickly (Empty calories), such as beer and cider.

ENJOY THE EVENT OR THE NIGHT OUT, WILL ONE DAY OFF TRACK RUIN YOUR PROGRESS? NO! IF IT’S ONLY ONE DAY, IT’S NO BIG DEAL. It’s NOT DOING THE WORKOUTS AND GETTING BACK ON TRACK THE FOLLOWING DAYS THAT’S GOING TO RUIN THE PROGRESS. DON’T LET ONE BAD DAY OR NIGHT TURN YOU OFF FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK.

TAKEAWAYS

It’s perfectly fine to have a takeaway!. So if you’re getting a takeaway, be careful about what you are eating that day. For example, if I know I’m getting a takeaway, I’ll have breakfast, lunch, and a snack before it. This Takeaway is taking up the space of dinner and possibly two other snacks because it’s high in calories. A CHEAT MEAL IS NOT A CHEAT DAY

And if you have one bad day with snacking, if it’s chocolate or crisps, don’t let it ruin your progress for the week. Everyone has bad days! For snacks, I always try have snacks that are high in protein, so a protein bar or a protein yogurt or maybe some granola and yogurt this was you’re getting your protein in, not feeling guilty about it, and the protein will fill you up for longer so it will stop you from wanting to pick at snacks.
Also do not track your cheat meal! just have it and enjoy it.
