Gratitude and dieting can help with:

-body appreciation goes up

-self worth based on appearance goes down

-body compassion goes down

-eating comparisons goes down

-body dissatisfaction goes down


Self compassion can help with:

Is linked to lower eating pathology and improved body image

It may reduce the risk of disordered eating

It may reduce the risk of eating disorders

After eating past fullness self compassion then allows you to reflect non judgement and then put an alternative in place for the next time


Methods you can use to improve self compassion and gratitude:

-Guided meditation

-Mindfulness meditation

-Self talk



-Noticing your emotions
